Column Style calendars Now Available
‘Column Style’ calendars are now available as an option. Choose from 1 to multiple columns. The Column Style is selected under the PDF Export tab, next to the Months Only radio button. Choose Std (Standard) for a grid type calendar or Columns for the alternative column style layout. The number of Columns and other related options are set underneath the Grid Tab -> and Column Calendar sub-tab. A new video will be available shortly showing this new feature.
Easy & Fast
It is so easy and fast to create calendars with Pyxis Calendar, you wont believe it. Most importantly the dates will always be correct. Simply remember to choose the correct year!
There are two row options available. The first is to choose five static rows. In this case, when a month spans six weeks, the last days in the month overlap the first week. With the six rows option, a sixth row will be added when required.
Custom Background Colours
Create your own custom CMYK background colours. During the exit process, the application will invite you to add any new colours created to the default set.
Custom Size Options
Choose from a list of popular sizes, or enter your own custom size. Currently, all sizes are entered in mm. Note that when a ‘Rectangular Month’ year planner is selected, the size is set separately.
Optionally enter leading or trailing month days. You have full control over font size, colour and position. This information will be placed into any blank sections in your calendar grid.
In addition to calendars, you can also create single page year planners with custom background colours and styling. Choose from Month per Row type or Rectangular month planners.
It is very easy to add special days, such as public holidays and anniversaries by simply importing a CSV file or entering each day manually. An optional Job Reference can be included enabling you to filter special days used.
Simply select a folder containing images. They need to be set to the correct rotation. The application will automatically scale them in proportion to fill the top image space and then crop off anything outside that area.
Text Case Options
Choose from UPPERCASE, lowercase, Initial Capital or Abbreviation (ABB) for both weekday names and month names. The abbreviation option will shorten the name to three characters, each in uppercase (JAN, FEB, MAR, etc for months and MON, TUE, WED, etc for days).
Four image quality settings are available: Web, Good, High and Max. The High setting should be the correct choice for most digital printers. The Max setting will increase the file size significantly and is best suited for high resolution lithographic printing.
Extra Image or Logo
You can place an extra image or logo at any location on the output sheet. Where a logo or image pdf file contains multiple pages, each page will be imposed in order, and then repeated if there are less than 12 pages. Note that image files will be scaled, while pdfs will be placed at the original dimensions.
To add crop marks to your calendar, often required for commercial printing, simply tick the Crop Marks check-box (located on the PDF Export tab).
